Fellowship is important because it was the main focus of Jesus and the basis of all His instructions and commands. For example, Jesus wanted to focus our attention on
greater things and the Kingdom of God, but He wants us to do so by doing small things.
His disciples asked, 'who can enter the Kingdom of Heaven?' and Jesus replied that those who sacrifice will enter. When asked, 'how did we serve you?' Jesus responded
by saying that when you fed the hungry and gave water to the thirsty. Huge consequences for little actions.
Fellowship is no different. Church, Bride of Christ, Army of God all have huge meaning and depth behind them. To focus on them and try to achieve these divinely huge
goals would lead us to failure. However, Jesus commands us to be relational by making disciples (telling someone else how you follow Christ), and to love as Christ loves you.
The truth of the matter is simple and one in which the Haven feels needs to be restored to church as a whole. If we focus on 'church' we will miss out on fellowship
but, if we focus on fellowship, then we get closer to church/ekklesia. True fellowship of a few will experience and get closer to the Church Christ is building quicker than 500 people wanting to 'do
church'. Fellowship and discipleship makes the Church.
